favorite two projects

i really enjoyed the prints project because it was simple yet the final product was cool. I thought it was interesting how the ink doesn't go in the cracks and it allows you to make a picture. i also found it interesting how you can change the color of certian parts of the picture. overall this was probably my favorite project because it was simple yet it turned out good.
i learned the most from the value scale drawing. because i never knew how shading could make a picture look so much better. before this project i would never thought you could create such a product with only pencils. i also learned how shading can make things look 3d. overall this project tought me the most because i would have never known how shading works.

prints

this is the print project. First we got a picture from the internet and free handed it in our sketch books. we then transfered it to tracing paper. we then took little tools to carve out the dark parts of the drawing. we carved it into a rubber slab. we then put had a roller and ink and put it on the table. once the ink was spread out we rolled it onto the rubber slap. we then transfered it to a peice of paper and our final product was complete.

self portrait

In this project we made a self portrait of ourself. Before we created it, we learned about proportions and where facial features are located. We learned things such as the distance between your eyes is the length of one eye. To get the proportions the correct size we had a mirror infront of us and we measured each facial feature. Then we shaded it in using the pencil color scale.
