painting

If I were at the place i painted i would most likely smell the refreshing scent of clean air and fresh water. it would feel very relaxing due to the fact it is a pond in the open surrounded by a clear sky and trees. you would hear the chirping of birds and aqautic life jumping up on the surface of the water.

clay project

For this project we made clay sculptures based on our ipad designs. we made clay balls and hollowed them out. we the added our features to the ball and we got our final product. we also put little balls inside so it will make a raddle.

zintangle

For this project we made designs called zintangles. it is random designs within a shape. we first sketched them out in our sketch books. we then went to the side walk and sketched them out with mud paint. once our designs were complete we went to the courtyard and drew on the walls our  previous sketches.

perspective picture

For this project we went around the school and took picture from different angles so it would look like we were doing something such as holding someone in our palm as shown in the picture above. what really happened was i held my palm out a short distance from the camera and paige stood on the window seal there for making it look like i was holding her in my hand.

favorite two projects

i really enjoyed the prints project because it was simple yet the final product was cool. I thought it was interesting how the ink doesn't go in the cracks and it allows you to make a picture. i also found it interesting how you can change the color of certian parts of the picture. overall this was probably my favorite project because it was simple yet it turned out good.
i learned the most from the value scale drawing. because i never knew how shading could make a picture look so much better. before this project i would never thought you could create such a product with only pencils. i also learned how shading can make things look 3d. overall this project tought me the most because i would have never known how shading works.

prints

this is the print project. First we got a picture from the internet and free handed it in our sketch books. we then transfered it to tracing paper. we then took little tools to carve out the dark parts of the drawing. we carved it into a rubber slab. we then put had a roller and ink and put it on the table. once the ink was spread out we rolled it onto the rubber slap. we then transfered it to a peice of paper and our final product was complete.

self portrait

In this project we made a self portrait of ourself. Before we created it, we learned about proportions and where facial features are located. We learned things such as the distance between your eyes is the length of one eye. To get the proportions the correct size we had a mirror infront of us and we measured each facial feature. Then we shaded it in using the pencil color scale.

stencil picture

value scale drawing

for the value scale drawing project we had to find a black and white picture from the internet of any object. we then traced the black and white picuture on tracing paper. we traced the different shapes of different shapes. we then refered to the scale we made with different shades of pencil. We then transfered are drawings too our sketch pad where i shaded the different shades.

junk pile

This is the junk pile project we created as a group. The assignment was to grab peices of trash and junk and pile them  up to create a scene when light is reflected on the wall. To create our project we used an old cup and a few peices of scrap plastic to create bridge. for the water at the bottom we used a transparent peice of paper and colored it blue so it would show up on the wall. For the peices in the middle we used tape and string to make it look as if it was a suspending bridge.
